A Writer

 read my old write-ups

It is who you are, and what you do.

You brave through,

You keep going…

No matter how scary it gets to you.

Not easy, Not to remember,

How everyone said, writers don’t earn,

Don’t this, don’t those…

You behave like you put aside all criticism,

Next moment you’re filled with

Absolute narcissism and crippling self doubt.

But that’s what gets you into the sweet spot of art

Those attacks pump your ideas and push you

So you write on and on…

Because it is who you are,

Being a writer, that is what you have to do.

Persons name: Asana

Name of the thing: Alia- big pen weapon

Place name: Akash- clouded cave built underground

Animal name: Ajanta- wolf

Introducing Asana, the daughter of Shani, assigned by the lord to administer justice. Taking a temporary human form, she walks the earth with a divine purpose.

Her weapon, known as Alia, is not just a pen but a formidable tool of justice. Its long, sharp nib pierces through demons, bringing swift retribution to the malevolent.

By her side, is Ajanta, a wolf companion named after the ancient caves, capable of navigating any maze. Together, they transverse both known and unknown realms, transcending earthly boundaries.

Asana's divine energy has manifested Akash, an underground haven forever cloaked in clouds. Within lies a mystical cave, a judge of souls. It discerns purity and impurity, orchestrating an otherworldly fate.

If impure, the body autonomously descends into the depths; if pure, it is consumed by sacred flames. In this enchanting tale of justice, Asana, Ajanta, Alia, and Akash weave a narrative that transcends the ordinary, a celestial dance of divine purpose nd ethereal mysteries.

Just Five Minutes From the Metro

 read my old write-ups

Bangalore, a city in the limelight, attracts residents due to its accessibility and rapid development. In contrast to cities with uncertain growth, Bangalore often likened to the speedy Shatabdi Express, experiences continuous and dynamic growth.

The city's growth is epitomized by its metro system, a vital identity for any thriving metropolis. As the hub of information technology, Bangalore has drawn a diverse workforce from across the nation. The advent of the metro has further streamlined transformation, catering to the needs of the growing population.

Builders, astutely recognizing the expanding needs, have strategically developed apartments in Bangalore. The city offers a comfortable haven for residents, fulfilling their varied requirements. The metro's influence goes beyond mere convenience; it has the power to reshape the urban landscape positively.

The burgeoning population, synonymous with increased motor vehicles, emissions, and pollution, finds an eco-friendly alternative in the metro. Reflecting on the impact, one can't help but contemplate how the metro has influenced and transformed lives.

Bangalore, already known as the fastest-growing city, witnessed a notable reduction in travel time. The average commute for office-goers, which once ranged from 1.5 to 2 hours, has been significantly shortened to a mere 30 to 50 minutes. Beyond the time savings, the metro induces relative psychological changes, alleviating the pressures of traffic and allowing more quality time with family.

Drawing inspiration from Asian neighbors like Singapore, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, where metro stations serve as recognizable landmarks, Bangalore's metro system is shaping a similar narrative. The metro, as a transformative force, not only eases travel but also fosters a sense of community and identity.

The impact of the metro goes beyond infrastructure; it permeates the fabric of people's lives, shaping their happiness, equilibrium, and evolving stories. The journey, encapsulated in the phrase "just five minutes from the metro," signifies the profound changes the metro brings to the lives of Bangalore's residents.

Horror and Comedy

read my old write ups

Embarking on a hilariously disastrous proposal

There she was, standing gracefully under the tree, her hair reminiscent of Rekha ji's iconic coarse waves in the movies. Feeling a surge of courage, I decided to express my admiration. Little did I know, my compliment would be met with unexpected hilarity. As she turned around, her response was a fiery, "Can't you see? My hair is burnt, you old-school charmer!"

Now, onto a haunted car adventure

Seated in the car, cruising at a daring 105 km/hr. I found myself absentmindedly fidgeting with the gears, unleashing a whirlwind of speed. Suddenly, I snapped back to reality, only to catch a glimpse of a woman in the rearview mirror. To my horror, she was holding my left hand and my right foot, creating a sidesplitting spectacle of chaos.

In this uproarious tale of love gone wrong and a haunted car journey, the unexpected twists and turns promise laughter and surprises at every corner.

"Floods Never a Disaster"

 read my old write-ups

Meet Mr. Past, Ms. Present, and Mr. Future, the unconventional trio 'floating' and 'sailing' through the floodwaters that have engulfed their town in Assam. As the murky currents weave tales of resilience, relationships, and unexpected connections, their journey becomes a poignant story of survival and camaraderie.

In the midst of uncertainty, Mr. Future, the caretaker of his only family, his sister, resourcefully acquires a tube. His altruism extends further as he willingly surrenders his spot to a stranger, forging an unexpected friendship amidst the turbulent waters.

Enter Mr. Past, a raconteur with a flair for dramatic storytelling. As water ripples around him, he can't resist flaunting his past, sharing tales of conflict with his father who once owned a boating business. In the chaos of the flood, he boldly declares, "Floods, my friends, are never a disaster." He muses on spending quality time in the water, finding solace in the company of his 'new friend'.

Ms. Present, with a wicket smile, responds with a nod to his impulsive declaration. She seems to be the embodiment of living in the moment, savoring the present despite the challenging circumstances. Her clean expression reveals an acceptance of the chaos, finding a silver lining in the company of Mr. Past.

While the two engage in spirited conversation and 'sail together' through the floating dialogue, Mr. Future's eyes, weary from the journey, seek a moment of respite. With a graceful 'float and pull,' he maneuvers the tube towards a resting spot, inviting a pause in their watery odyssey.

As the trio, navigates the floodwaters, their stories intertwine, creating a tapestry of shared experiences, unexpected connections, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of nature's unpredictable forces.

Depth of Thinking

 read my old write-ups

What is beauty?

Does it not lie in the depth of thinking?

One who carefully observes the dust,

Thus sees the shine in it.

They recycle things from the waste.

When the baby is born,

They pick the human placenta,

And try to utilize the stem cells.

The lotus sprouts out

Like a magnificent being in front,

Their eyes still follow

How they’re latched on the roots of mud.

Why for it to submerge in the dirty river water is important,

To miraculously re-bloom the next day.

What is that puts them through these thoughts?

Does it not arise from their beautiful perception?

My Old Tree

 read my old write-ups

Older than my grandmother,

She was there much before me.

She ruled the roost,

She fed us all.

All, my family and the colony.

Who planted her?

My grandfather, much before he left us with her.

I grew up playing with her arms.

Her branches, I tied the swing.

Today, when I came home after long standing years,

She appeared the most cheerful there.

As I stepped onto the corridor.

As if the dangling leaves were waving, hi!

And the lurching branches meant a warm welcome.

I was engrossed, next when I saw my mother standing in front of me.

Houses were extended.

Her neighbor tree, like she grew with, was no more.

But birds had her, to where they could easily switch their nest.

They had somewhere to go.

Her branches slightly bend,

She was bearing heavy mangoes.

I noticed what she wanted to make me do.

How could she forget?

How I loved those fruits!

Nostalgic, I became,

Sat on her arms, like the old days, plucked and ate.

Lived my childhood,

Together, we enjoyed.

I wonder,

Can there be any selfless creature?

Who only knows, to give.

I can remember, no one,

Like a mother and a tree.

Heart Break

 read my old write-ups

You left me when I was young and unprepared.

You found me the prettiest, you say, and then not in a few years.

You chose someone else over me.

You tried to prove me every time wrong.

You knew that you were the only one I held onto.

You knew it wouldn’t be easy to let go.

You found the same face, annoying.

You felt the same attachment, suffocating.

You spoke highly of my qualities.

You felt special and of my utmost care.

You need space now.

You don’t wish to get showered by that care.

You made me commit many mistakes.

You were wise later you claimed and me, stupid.

You knew I was totally into you.

You were, as much as I was in love with you.

You, but played all the blame games now.

You made me look like I’m a psycho.

You, whereas were just looking for a way.

You only wished to get rid of me.

You could, so, be with that someone else forever.

You left me when I was young and unprepared.
